I’ve talked about the static in life and its impact on my faith. Well, static has a virulent cousin: people. When we allow it, people, and people and their views on life, love, and even scripture, can sway our relationship with Jesus—and not necessarily in a wanted direction.
After spending a substantial part of my adult life with ideologues on the right and left, I have planted myself squarely in the middle. I sway side-to-side depending on the issue. I still consider myself an ideologue, but appropriately balanced. “It’s where Jesus is,” I boast to friends. Continue reading
